I kinda wish I had watched this during the pandemic, it probably would've hit me even harder. But still, the movie managed to genuinely scare me. It's a classic horror setup, made interesting with the concept of being haunted online, which reminded me a bit of Unfriended. It definitely left me feeling uneasy after watching... and yeah, made it hard to sleep.
What I liked:
What I didn't like:
What I liked:
- Creepy atmosphere and setting.
- A horror concept that really fits the times.
- Solid emotional build.
- Once the story kicks in, the tension stays high until the end.
- Plenty of uncomfortable moments.
What I didn't like:
- A few predictable jumpscares.
- The plot was pretty easy to guess.
My expectations were super high for Weapons because it had over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. Yes, it's scary, but personally it didn't really hit me. For me, a great horror movie should leave me feeling uneasy even after it ends - but with Weapons, it just felt okay. To keep it simple, here are my points:

What I didn't like:
Overall, I've got more positives here than negatives. But since the negatives play a big role in making a horror movie truly effective, that's why I'm landing on a 7/10.
What I liked:
- Fresh concept.
- Mind-blowing plot twist.
- Even though it's a slow burn, the explanations felt just right.
- A satisfying ending.
- Doesn't over-explain.
What I didn't like:
- Lacked those intense "punch" moments.
- The horror atmosphere wasn't strong enough.

I watched this in IMAX, so of course my expectations were pretty high for The Conjuring: The Last Rites. Maybe I set the bar a little too high, but honestly it didn't disappoint me.

What didn't work for me:
What I liked:
- Solid emotional build-up.
- A satisfying ending.
- A few scenes actually made me flinch.
What didn't work for me:
- Way too predictable (though, to be fair, the Conjuring formula is easy to guess).
- A slow burn at the beginning.
- The music didn't feel scary enough.
- The ending felt a bit rushed.
