Having watched this series from its start, and loved its dark insight into the mind of a psychotic serial killer, I was thrilled and saddened at the same time to learn that the series was coming to an end. My initial dismay, however, turned to relief as the final series progressed.
The protagonist's new love was probably the worst casting in any of the seasons. She lacked credibility and charisma.
As for the protagonist himself, the once assured killer lost the ability to murder. He turned into a clumsy, predictable imbecile who was suddenly impatient. His serial killer IQ had to plummet for the story to make any sense.
The final round up was a utopic mess that destroyed 'You' for me. Some murderers or criminals got their lives back in spite of their crimes with the exception of the lead.
A lesson in how to destroy what was once superb.

Nothing more than a subjective attempt to dig the dirt specifically on Sean Combs, and the Hip Hop music industry generally, it fell short of calling black people uncivilised thugs but only just. In spite of the title there was no rise - we were treated to the interviewer trying her hardest to find answers that fitted her agenda rather than a search for the truth or the facts. A mishmash of hearsay and gossip lacking facts, evidence or anything to persuade the viewer. If the hotel video was not included there would have been nothing to watch.
If I were representing Mr Combs I would certainly use this programme, aired on the British Broadcasting Corporation, in his defence.
Unbalanced, subjective and embarrassing.

The first two seasons were fabulous to watch, entertaining and most importantly judged with fairness to the brief without subjectivity. The last two, however, have turned into a disaster with the sole judge being able to manipulate the outcome on a whim and without accountability. The reversal of the judges views is evident.
The show now lacks any credibility at all. They may as well gift their favourite designer in episode one and be done with it.
Maybe future series will remember the recipe from series one and two that would return the programme to a fair objective assessment of talent, not the hideous monster that it has become.
