Raw, unsettling psychological drama that taps into a generational crisis - the constant feeling of not being enough unless you're building a startup, changing the world, or fitting perfectly into society's clean-cut image of success.
The main character - metaphorically and literally - pisses on social norms, refusing to play the game. His descent isn't madness, it's rebellion. It's a wild, awkward, often uncomfortable challenge to what we consider sane, polite, and acceptable.
Ernst De Geer pushes viewers to the edge of discomfort, exposing the absurdity of roles we're hypnotized into playing. The film questions everything - identity, freedom, expression - and dares to suggest:
Maybe it's time to shake things up?
Shake it up.

Title: A Frustrating, Incoherent Mess
I really wanted to like The Brutalist, but after investing 2.5 hours, I just couldn't finish it. The characters feel underdeveloped, and their motivations remain a mystery. We're given hints about inner struggles, but nothing is ever truly explored or explained. Major events happen without buildup or context, making it hard to connect or understand what's driving the story.
Visually, the film has moments of great cinematography, but it often feels like a collection of stylish clips rather than a cohesive narrative. It lacks emotional depth and fails to provide any real insight into its characters.
I stuck with it, hoping for something meaningful to emerge, but in the end, it just felt like a complete waste of time. I'm beyond disappointed.

The characters are simple regular people, you could even call them boring. But actually I appreciate that kind of people more and in life, they don't trying to seem or be anyone. Just be a good person, good parent, and that is enough. We are trying to find our place in world so desperately, the place we can call home. Looking at different people and trying on their lifestyles, thinking which one would fit better. However we often miss the entire point: the home is already here. It always has been, just was waiting for you to notice it and appreciate it.
A beautiful movie that remind you of simplicity and beauty of life.
I wish to everyone find their home.
