Not original even when it is. Someone watched The Thing as a kid then 30 years later made a movie on a great idea they had as a kid, forgetting it was a movie already. Writing is meh, and acting is fine. Relies to heavily on ambience to mimic The Thing. The ending was definitely a "we wrote ourselves into a corner" vibe.
If you're bored and want to zone out and appreciate effort, it's cool.
Still more realistic and better written than literally any DC or MARVEL crap.

Why does it seem all independent films made in Montana by montanans seem to be more focused on showing locations and promoting the fact it's in Montana rather than getting someone who can write a script and people that can act? Nothing shows poor amateur lack of effort as no lighting and stationary camera shots that actors purposely have to enter and adjust into a specific spot to be in frame.
10 minutes in and cannot see one good thing about the acting, poor camera work, dialogue.
Once I saw the cashier's face as the man walked away at the beginning I knew the acting would rival that of a burnt out tree stump. If this took more the the weekend to film, I will be shocked. The property manager gave off severe pedo vibes.
