This episode literally has no progress in terms of story. One Piece Episode 1141 feels like it's stuck in neutral-barely advancing the plot and drowning in filler. Pacing is becoming unbearable. Flashbacks overtake forward momentum, and the emotional beats fall flat when you're waiting for actual development( zoro is literally still fighting with rob lucci) . What should've been a dramatic arrival of reinforcements ends up feeling slow and padded. Even longtime fans are griping: "Such an awful pacing and flashbacks" are ruining the momentum.
Episode 1140 of One Piece drew sharp criticism for its pacing and visual execution. Fans and critics alike felt Toei squandered a pivotal Egghead arc moment with overused CGI, repetitive shots, and drawn-out sequences that dulled the impact of Luffy's Gear 5. The constant explosions and jittery animation were called distracting rather than dramatic. Sanji's altered portrayal, diverging from the manga and making him appear reckless, further fueled backlash. What should have been a defining, hype-filled episode instead left many disappointed.
Episode 1139 of One Piece is a textbook case of Toei dragging things out unnecessarily. The pacing crawls, with endless close-ups and reaction shots that pad the runtime instead of building tension. For all its polished visuals, the episode barely moves the story forward, making it feel like a glorified trailer for next week. The new opening is flashy but oddly divisive, and the sound effects feel like they're stuck in the early 2000s. Fans have been patient with slow pacing in the past, but this feels like testing that patience to its limits. With such strong source material, it's frustrating to see an episode squander its potential just to stretch the arc further.
