This movie is just bad.the kids acting is awful. The kids audio is wild it sounds like a they're falling asleep. The pacing , story , and atmosphere is confusing ,are they teens? Is this a coming of age ? Do you care ? This movie feels like it's something designed by an AI . I honestly wrote this review half way through as I felt it was not redeemable. If you wanna watch a good movie that does every aspect of this story better watch Krampus . The fact this movie was released tells you that everyone involved is creatively bankrupt they thought this could be considered fine. This was a word salad Tldr: I watch bad movies for fun this one was hard to finish.

Just because a film is shot well ,and acted well doesn't mean it's good.ther is no point to this film and no reason for it to exist .it doesn't add to the series if anything it takes away , it makes the military look incompetent,it makes people look way to smart people figure out within seconds it's sounds . The only redeeming part was the cat ,I would've prefered this film from its perspective.maiing the main character terminally ill really takes the stakes out of the film, the guy was alright but his ambition was confusing and all in I genuinely feel that this film took away far more than it added. Also say one is a dumb name there is no amping up that'd you'd expect (think something along the happening where they're sorta one step ahead and slowly introduced to the concept) this film is just bam aliens are here and this is what happens which is disappointing I had hoped this would give us far more back story ( battle LA style of introducing at minimum) the fact this scored so high really is a testament to how incredible the first film was.

This really really feels like they wanted to make an auteur film. They wanted to make ya think wanted to keep you guessing wanted to put in deeper meaning. Then they made it and forgot all of that and said here's a bunch of disjointed poorly interconnected shots we attempted to tell a story with. I think the most egregious part of this film is just how boring it is there is no interesting character or premise it seems like a jumbled mess that they needed to reach an hour twenty for feature length run time. I cannot recmmondend anything else then watching this, it is not even close to the so bad its good.
