Had such high hopes for this but I was astoundingly, horrifically, desperately and unfortunately bored out of my mind.
Can't fault some of the minor things like set design, costuming, etc. But the plot was relentless in it's pursuit of mediocrity and the performances were community playhouse awful. What a waste of decent actors.
Saddest of all, the potential presented by having Bill Skaarsgard as the pivotal Nosferatu flew right out the gothic stone castle window in a flurry of overacting frenzy.
In the end I just couldn't finish this waaay overlong mess of a film. I don't often give up on a movie but this is one of those times.

Watched this without knowing a lot about it.
Enjoyed the overall aesthetic for both the current and past parts of the story, the acting was solid and what could have been the usual plot involving a rogue house robot had some pretty good twists.
For my part I think I could have used more episodes to flesh out some aspects of those plot twists. We are given small glimpses in to the backgrounds of several characters and situations that might have interesting if fleshed out a little further.
I am assuming there will not be a second season but will keep my eyes open. You never know these days!**

This movie has all the pacing, editing and pretentious shooting angles of someone's art school project or 'I want to be avant garde' foreign film entry for Sundance.
Overblown. Substituting substance with fancy camera work. Worst of all, suffers from the unfortunate slide in to 'we don't know how to end this so we'll just keep adding stuff' never ending ending. As the third semi plausible stopping point rolled on past to the next, I literally yelled, 'OH COME ON!' at the screen.
I was bored to tears.
It can be said that the makeup work was very well done but as we all know, special effects/costumes and makeup don't make a film good.
