I always enjoyed this two part movie with a all star cast that includes Chow Yun Fat, Andy Lau, Alex Man, Hell even Danny Lee shows up later. Rich And Famous is a absorbing action/ drama that would be best described as A Better Tommorrow crossed with The Godfather. The characters are drawn out really good The action scenes look good, but nothing compared to John Woo's work. In the sequel Tragic Hero the tension builds for a blood and bullet drenched climax, that few films can compete with. This might seem standard for the Heroic Bloodshed genre but was done well enough to be worth watching..
At first glance I thought this movie is ridiculous. However, once I gave it a chance and watched it, I found that I really enjoyed Legion. After watching it a second and third time I liked it even more. When Legion was released, there was a whole lot of apocalyptic themed movies coming out every week at the theater. However I will argue that Legion was done well. It combined biblical apocalypse with the feel of a dark comic book with tons of action and firepower. Paul Bettany is a dissenting angel (Michael) who has some sympathy for humanity and is going against the orders of God to wipe them off the map for the Hell man has made on Earth. Paul Bettany gives a stoic performance with saying minimal dialogue, channeling his inner Eastwood as anti hero angel. The supporting cast is solid, but not nearly as cool as Bettany of course. The ensemble cast showed a lot of heart standing together and bringing down the thunder (and a lot of empty shell casings) taking down the possessed hordes . At first I thought "What is this? That angel's getting taken down by automatic weapons movie. Nah, I will pass". After giving it a chance I have found this to be really well made actually and very entertaining. Legion does give a nod to The Prophecy series, but adds a ton of action. Plus Paul Bettany's performance is perfect as well as his performance in Priest. ( Another criminally underrated fantasy horror/action movie).
