Aside from having a horror theme, there is precious little in either feel or on screen to justify this as a horror movie at all. So is it a thriller? Without thrills, that's a category it misses too. A drama? Maybe, but not a very dramatic one.

The story is plodding and predictable, I guessed the ending far too soon. The cinematography is good and quite stylish, but the acting is pretty stale from everyone and Longlegs himself was more of a comedy character than a sinister madman. I genuinely found the Longlegs scenes hard to take seriously. He is possibly the worst killer I have ever seen! He is just not scary at all.

I waited to watch so the hype had died down, in the hope I could just enjoy it. Sadly, it's just not good.

I won't criticise the production of the film, it is quite well made and does have a little style in it's filming and direction.

The main issue is that is was dull and boring throughout. Also the characters make many idiotic decisions and are hard to like.

Using the word horror in connection with this movie is the biggest mistake though. Well, that and the claim that the characters have to go to extreme lengths to try to survive. They drink a lot of urine and walk around a lot, that's about all.

I wouldn't recommend and I wish I'd never bothered!

Outback is very slow, very dull, and should be avoided!
