This episode was a masterpiece. The intensity, the sheer emotion, the complete believability of how things may unfold at "THE END". How even stone cold secret service agents can and will break down when faced with unimaginable loss. How the President, a flawed man if there is one, can be redeemed and do the right thing even when it was not expedient to do so. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole episode and at times I was holding my breath without even realizing it. This episode gets up there in my podium along with Breaking Bad's Ozymandias, Game of Throne's The Red Wedding and Attack on Titan's Hero, as one of the best TV episodes of all time.
Every week so far in Season 2 has been an exercise in frustration. Series are supposed to entertain, not frustrate. This last episode just takes the cake. I would like for someone, anyone, to think about a single way this episode drives the plot forward. The 8 episodes of season 2 could easily have been told in 90 minutes.
So instead of complaining here, I will do the only thing us viewers can do. I will stop watching. And I will tell everyone I know that Silo had an amazing first season, but then the showrunners got greedy and slowed things down so much, its more enjoyable to watch paint dry. I don't care if things get better, I'm done with this show.

I judge anime and stories in general, not by their ability to wow me with effects or action, but for how much they make me feel and learn about myself. And in this, Frieren shines like no other anime I've ever watched, managing to make me smile, feel wonder, nostalgia and excitement all at the same time. Its a beautiful coming of age story, which sounds weird for a thousand year elf, but that's what it is. In it, we will find life lessons which we can certainly apply to our own lives, if we look close enough.
I've watched till Episode 10, and it just keeps getting better and better, weaving backstory and exposition to make current events feel preordained yet surprising at the same time. I look forward to watching this masterpiece in its entirety, but even incomplete so far, Frieren has already taken its place in my book along with the greatest of all time.
