I'm a huge fan of the movie and am so pleased with this series. I love seeing these new characters and their stories. A comic book loving Black girl who has beef with neighborhood kids, hilarious! Women exploring their sexuality, dealing with their family's expectations, and playing baseball. Fantastic. Gimme more!

It's absolutely fantastic. It's visually beautiful and the story is epic. We loved The Book of Life & clearly this is going to be another family favorite.

I love Sandra Oh & the rest of the cast was great, too. It's wonderful seeing a show discussing race & class & privilege in the workplace. I also enjoyed seeing the older actors with interesting storylines & doing comedy, too. Finally, the adoption story was very engaging and something I hadn't seen before. I thought it wrapped up nicely while still leaving room for a second season.
