The movie is entertaining despite a slow start. Once the action starts it is frenetic. Acting a bit wooden in places and story cliched and predictable.
Main let down is the cartoonish visuals which make it feel more like a video game than a sculptured action movie.
I am aware the production was plagued with difficulties and reshoots and I think this shows through.
The female cop does a great job and has the best screen presence despite being amongst some top action stars.
I was lucky enough to be an extra on this and spent an intriguing day laying in fake blood watching the FX and stunt guys doing their stuff.

A very enjoyable movie which disappeared without trace initially, now an entertaining watchable cult movie.
All the actors were either new to the game or had very limited experience but that makes it all the more raw.
Diane Lane is great in her role but the most interesting from a historical point of view is seeing a very youthful Ray Winstone put 100% into his role. The fact the rest of his band are made up of The Sex Pistols and The Clash makes it a fascinating watch.
On top of the performances the movie also benefits from a smart and satirical look at the music business, materialism and feminism.
Worth spending some time to find this secret gem.

Full of juvenile toilet humour and playground insults. I made the mistake of watching this while sober.
However, if not sober may be considered funny. That is if you enjoy pissing competitions and sh****g on beds.
The jokes are really bad, the references to 80s action movies so blatant it's yawn inducing.
The over the top digital effects are like someone just got an FX package they were determined to use all the features at every opportunity.
I was not surprised to read it cost $15000 AUD to make. What a waste, could have bought a used Nissan Micra.
It was a struggle to watch all the way through and in the end I was left wondering how the film crew managed to stick through the endless repetition and bad jokes with awkward silences as if waiting for someone to laugh.
Usually I enjoy slightly off kilter Aussie and NZ humour such as Bad Taste, Black Sheep and Kenny but this one left me cringing and is not in the same league.
I can only imagine the producers were aiming to make a film so bad it would gain a cult reputation. Maybe it will with a certain demographic after they return home having drank a skinful of beers?
