Far by me to ignore the simple detail - I saw this film for Beau Bridges. And he deserved to see his beautiful performance. Not so nice was the feeling to admire a sort of panel full with everything, from romance to pasta sauce recipe, conflict between sisters, mother in vacantion, signs of dementia , the brother under pressure of trust of his boss , a friendship destroyed by financial motives.

But, at final, this too large , complicated knot remains decent family story, not bad Christmas film.

I loved for the beautiful remind of the tales said bz mz grandfather for me. For the precise portrait of sufferance and appearences and greed and memories who remain , often, secrets, because the others can not understand them.

Special short animation film , wise crafted message, old so familiar flavors.
