When both he and Jamie Alcroft were nominated for the 1988 Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actor, it marked one of only three times that more than one person had shared an acting nomination with each other. The other two times were all five of the Spice Girls (Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton, Melanie C and Geri Horner), who were all nominated for, and subsequently "won" Worst Actress in the movie Spice World (1997), and Ashley Olsen & Mary-Kate Olsen in Une journée à New York (2004), also nominated for Worst Actress.
