- AnecdotesBuilt an apartment house in Westwood, CA in 1949 after learning that her sister couldn't get an apartment because she had a child and a puppy. The grounds were fenced in for the youngsters' safety, and each apartment had closets with miniature hangers for the youngsters' clothes. Haver refused to rent to anyone without children.
