London-born editor in Hollywood, at Columbia (1933-36), RKO (1937-39) and Universal (1940-47). Worked on a couple of W.C Fields' vehicles and was Oscar-nominated for Robert Siodmak's classic thriller Les tueurs (1946). In the 1950's, he was also active as a television director.
