Scourtis appeared in Cameron Crowe's film "Almost Famous" as a Waitress in Max's Kansas City and as a Stillwater Fan during the live concert.
During college, Scourtis worked at a music retail/video rental store where she enjoyed discovering obscure, independent and foreign films.
Her Fellowship job at film school was as a Projectionist.
Scourtis' parents were both born in Greece.
Scourtis performed with a few different groups in high school and college covering punk, rock and metal songs as well as composing originals.
