A school teacher in a village goes through this mind-wrecking journey without a choice.The only choice left to him is whether he could complete the task assigned to him or he should get himself admitted in an asylum. Though the story is in the genre of supernatural thriller,the film tries to tell the story by following the cliches but breaking the rules in which cliches are told.

Good contemporary realism film

This movie depicts the mental state and tries to communicate through visuals, the long short without movements conveys the life timeline stuck to that period and continues low angle says the low esteem of the character. Good film to watch.

Absolutely stunning and a gem in movie making

This movie is a gem in movie making. The camera work is unusual, lighting is kept as raw as possible. Mostly a single source of light/natural light is used. Initially i did not like the lighting but then realized that it helps movie to stay as raw and realistic as possible.

Screenplay is tight, direction is crisp and dialogues are well written. No spoon feeding. Audience is left to think and anayze. Rohit Kokate has acted brilliantly giving a theater like performance.

Plot is good and is suspenseful. Leaves you thinking and may change your perspective about certain things.

In short a very good movie to watch.

A mysterious gem among Indian cinema

I would like to say something about "Kaul - A Calling" movie which I happened to witness yesterday.

There are just two kinds of reactions received by Kaul in my observations, either best of all worlds or the worst than hell! I was totally in love with everything — say it direction, plot, dialogues, screenplay, cinematography, music, light/shadow effects, or star casts. Everything seemed precisely perfect. If Christopher Nolan can make you correlate science and spirituality by hinting towards the invisible string between an imaginary multi-dimension plane in the open space and the superstitious ghost conspiracy, then why cannot Aadish Keluskar think out of the box and make a gem like Kaul? I have no words to praise this cinema, it's beyond the greatness. I would love to watch more work by Aadish in the future. Wishes to the whole Kaul crew!
