"The Zayat Kiss" was the pilot for a proposed NBC TV series titled THE ADVENTURES OF FU MANCHU, featuring John Carradine playing the title role, and Sir Cedric Hardwicke as his Scotland Yard nemesis Nayland Smith. Sponsor disappointment over the scripts was the main reason it never went to series, so it would be little known Glen Gordon doing the honors when a syndicated version produced 13 episodes in 1956, opposite Lester Matthews as Smith. This unaired pilot has never turned up over the years.
