Avis à la une
This show is actually good and has some powerful messages for its viewers. It is up to the viewers how and what message they grab from this show. If you are looking for some fairy tale story in which everything gets good at the end of the episode then this show is not for you. Feed the Beast shows the reality and the challenges one has to face and the price one has to pay to dream big in a dark neighborhood. It is about optimism. Almost All the major characters had one thing in common. They all were optimistic in one way or the other! That's what life is all about. Never to lose hope and get your work done and move forward. Acting was good. Dialogues could have been better. No show is perfect but we should give this show another chance!
"AMC'S" new series "Feed the Beast" is an entertaining take and spin on getting by the best way you can even if it means illegal means! The drama is a spin and drama take that intersects with the mob and deals with money under the table being the themes that run the show. Anyway Dion(Jim Sturgess)has just got out of prison and he's still in debt with the mob so he decides to open up a restaurant with his old high school buddy Tommy(some well deserved work for David Schwimmer)and Tommy has some problems on the side he's a single dad with a mute son and he's in a power struggle with his rich dad who also puts a hand into the operation of the restaurant. And this series for cable true may not be "The Sopranos" still it's got plenty of blood and violence and action to keep it interesting. Overall check it out this series is a good vice spin on morality, money, and getting the job done anyway you can and by any means necessary so feed your viewing pleasure and watch "Feed the Beast".
After recently rewatching the musical movie Across the Universe, I checked out IMDb to see what actor Jim Sturgess has done since, and discovered Feed the Beast. I remembered seeing commercials for it this past winter, so I was happy to find out all 10 episodes were available for streaming on DirecTV. Over the past four evenings, I've binge watched Feed the Beast. It's not as good as my favorite AMC dramas Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, but I really enjoyed it. Jim Sturgess is great in the part of a low-life, creepy kind of guy that you want to hate, but part of you just likes him. At first I was turned off by the casting of David Schwimmer as the widowed father, having been so familiar with him as the whiny Ross from Friends. But by episode 6 or 7, his character seemed to turn a corner and now he really feels right in the role. Some of the story lines are predictable, but I did not see coming the big cliffhanger that happens at the end of episode 10. I really hope Feed the Beast is renewed for a second season so we are left hanging with what happened!
Well, where to start.
In today's TV there's so much variety that there's something for every taste, but this show gets unfairly slagged so hopefully anyone reading this will give it a chance without dismissing it just from unfavorable reviews which have no real grounding anyways.
There's drama, comedy, love stories, crime, family, friendship and social diversity exploration all combined with well chosen and composed cast, which should satisfy your need for a deep, but at the same time not too burdening or overly complicated story that you can follow weekly and not feel like you wasted your time by watching it.
Of course there are some flaws in it, but nothing is perfect, and if you give it a shot I think you'll learn to appreciate it more and more by each episode you see.
Give it a chance, that's all I'm saying.

I loved the series - great to start, a little slow and perhaps predictable in the middle, but then built up to a stupendously good finale.
So having just finished watching it on Netflix, I logged on to IMDb to see when the next series is due. But hey, guess what? It's been CANCELLED?
You can't end a show with a cliffhanger and then cancel it. BOOO. Crime bosses crossing paths, good characters with potential for remarkable story arcs. Boom. Gone.

- AnecdotesCancelled after the first season, mainly due to the fact that the pilot episode was not well liked and received low ratings. The rest of the season's episodes were much higher rated, but the show had already lost its viewers.
