Danger Close

Took the writers forever to get here. But now we finally have been treated to the type of episode you expect from a series entitled "The Punisher."

An interesting touch was portraying Marion James as a pragmatic bureaucrat that managed to maintain a code of morality. In sharp contrast was William Rawlins who would cross any line in a heartbeat for the pursuit of some perceived gain of power.

The ever-disappointing character is Dinah Madani who continues to be too young for her responsibilities. We can only hope based upon the final scene that she will be an asset in the next two episodes.

David has regained his relationship with his daughter so hopefully the Lieberman family drama will be scaled back. Although, there's still the rescue of David's wife and son to be completed.

The way the story has progressed, there is the potential for a satisfying finale. We'll have to wait and see.

I personally have loved this series but I don't understand all those people who think this isn't "Punisher enough". This episode is sure to change their minds. The action is exactly what you would expect and hope. This series is getting better!

The show is finally moving towards the climax here, with sudden plot twists you don't see coming, sustained peril and even some of the gory action that the show's reputation is based on. Good stuff!

That scene as Bernthal puts on the punisher suit is everything, amazingly cinematic. This episode had a lot of small plot points come together and it really worked.
