Entertaining For What It Is

Planet Hades (2017)

Ultra low-budget (and I mean ULTRA low-budget) sci-fi short has a spaceship captain (Mason Roberts) who is flying through space with some robot creatures. I'll be honest, I'm not sure what the plot of this six-minute short was but I'm not sure that was the most important thing going on here. As I said, the budget of this thing had to be about as low as the dollar menu at Taco Bell but at the same time this added to the entertainment factor. I thought the film worked well as a throwback to the 50s sci-fi movies and especially some of the later pictures from Japan that had really vibrant colors. I thought the look of the film was quite good and in all honesty it was just six-minutes and it held my attention throughout.
