Gemini Ganeshan (Atharvaa) has a habit of falling in and out of love with way too many women, and this film details the account of four such affairs. Soori and Mottai Rajendran up the humor ante on (very) few occasions while the latter portions of the second half come across as total face-palm material.
The lady-loves played by Regina Cassandra, Aaditi Pohankar, Pranitha Subhash and Aishwarya Rajesh (we all know she can perform!) are all relegated to supporting roles, who are floored by Gemini's antics. While the entanglements come across as mildly startling (the 'akka', 'thankachi' references are irritating), there is little room in the screenplay for the women to showcase their flair (there are dance numbers added in for good measure). It pains to see an actor like Aishwarya Rajesh being handed such a shoddily written role; one that requires her to utter dialogues with cheese smeared all over them.
Atharvaa is okay in his play-boy portrayal while his comedic sidekicks often fail to hit the mark in their attempts to spawn laughs. Suruli's (Soori) leaden gisting of Gemini's (Atharvaa) love-stories gets annoyingly repetitive. The music is not exactly jukebox material and their placement makes them appear like "restroom breaks" (Oh, did I forget to mention the inclusion of a 'bar song' which has been identified as a 'must-have' in almost every Tamil film?). The movie is what one would call a 'derivative spoof'. It gleans from 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya', 'Autograph', '3' and plenty of other Tamil romance films but ends up looking like a badly-done parody.
Verdict: Avoid!
