Say whay you want about this movie but Shelby Lyn carries the entire home. She puts all of her effort send heart into this role. Looking forward to seeing her in more stuff.
I stumbled upon the 2021 horror mystery "If She Screams" by random luck here late in 2022. Needless to say that I had never heard about the movie, but I was somewhat intrigued by the movie's cover. And with it being a horror movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to give it a chance.
Writer Judah Ray managed to churn out a script and storyline that fell entirely short of entertaining me. There was nothing interesting going on in the storyline, and the narrative fell into a slump and never really picked up momentum. And I have to say that the flaccid character gallery and amateurish acting performances weren't exactly doing their part to sell director Stephen Garnett's movie.
I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble in "If She Screams", but what I witnessed on the screen wasn't exactly top of the line performances. Normally I do enjoy watching unfamiliar and new talents on the screen, as they are not associated with other movies and previously portrayed characters, but I have to say that I found no enjoyment in "If She Screams".
For a horror movie then director Stephen Garnett wasn't exactly hitting a home run. This was a somewhat amateurish attempt at making a horror movie. There was nothing scary or worthwhile about this ordeal of a movie.
My rating of "If She Screams" lands on a two out of ten stars.

I've been waiting for this to finally be reviewable. This is hands down the worst movie I have ever seen. Lazy writing, hack directing, pathetic and senseless plot, less-than-amateur acting, meat cleaver editing...this one has every flaw imaginable. It's not "so bad it's good" it's so bad it hurts. The showstopper: the flashback chase scene set in the 1800s that has cell towers blinking in the background and an airplane overhead. You can't make this up. There is literally not one single second of this that isn't horrendous. No one involved with this mess should EVER be allowed to work in film again in any capacity. EVER. It is that bad. Don't believe me? Go ahead and watch. Don't say I didn't warn you.
This was by far the worst movie I have ever sat through. I only paid $1.25 for it and I feel disgusted that I was ripped off. Flashback was laughable, horrible editing, horrible cinematography, and the director clearly had no concept of filmmaking. Acting was horrible. Just a stupid film. I don't believe in book burning and respect everyone has different tastes, but it actually felt good to throw the disc away instead of donating it. Just really baaaaaaad. I watched it till the end just to see if there was anything redeemable about it, and the end was just as inconsistent and disrespectful to filmmaking as any of the rest of the film.
Loved it. Every bit of it. Great acting, directing and lots of really great scenes. Overall for a independent movie I thought it was very well done compared to alot of the stuff that comes out every week in Hollywood.

- GaffesIn the flashback scenes there are multiple cell tower lights flashing in the background and at least one airplane. The scenes supposedly occur in the 1800s.
