Film #Khejdi is a story of a girl born to be protected & shut away from the world. Her desire to be like all others brings her in contact with the society where she experiences every human emotion and every facet of human behaviour. The film leaves the audiences reeling with the highs & lows of #khejdi's life. A must see film which made me smile, laugh, cry and be upset & angry. It certainly has changed my perception of the Transgender community. Ashish Sharma,a versatile actor, in his usual inimitable way, has played the role of #Khejdi to super perfection. No doubt he has had to psych himself to play a transgender. Transforming his body, modulating speech, change in mannerism has been a work of pure dedication and love for his craft.The change in him was so perfect that at first I did not recognise him when I saw the grown up girl #Khejdi. Kudos for such a brilliant performance.

Khejdi is a film that takes us gently to the subject that is oft avoided with a soft start - the third gender. The life of the central character after which the film is named is shown right from birth till it attains maturity and gets married.

The trials and tribulations of the parent, the non-acceptance by the society and the zeal for life and learning - will surely throw a lot of light on how the society treats transgenders till date.

As we talk of a progressive country with gender neutrality and inclusive growth, Khejdi is a must watch for the generations to come to understand that transgenders are just like any other of us.
