Avis à la une
DC comics has accustomed us to much better (sometimes even excellent).
We are clearly among the worst (maybe the worst of all?):
A shame
We are clearly among the worst (maybe the worst of all?):
- There is no script, no development of characters and dialogues are incipid.
- Characters design is bad and particularly poorly inspired (special mention for the bad guys).
- The graphics are poor and the animation minimalist (some would say it's botched work).
- Even action / fight scenes are bad!
A shame
It's a Total disappointment.
They just changed her personality from previous movies, making her more like in the live action movie (wich I loved) but she is not what they have been giving us in the animated movies.
Besides that, the writing is lazy, boring and animation is not great.
I am stick to the 2009 animated movie until they give us something better.

I've enjoyed every single one of the DC Universe Animated Movies up to now, but Wonder Woman Bloodlines unexpectedly breaks the streak. What a disappointment.
I'm a long-time WW fan, and she's been very well-presented in all DC movies up until now. No slam on the animation here which is more or less ok, or the voice acting which is top-notch as usual, but even the awesome Rosario Dawson couldn't sizzle this turkey.
The problem with Wonder Woman Bloodlines begins and ends with the script, or more to the point, with the scriptwriter. The dialogue is uniformly flat, character depth and nuance are wholly absent, and every person (including Steve Trevor, the only man in the movie) is written with the exact same voice. I could literally hear the screenwriter speaking every single line, regardless of which character was actually delivering it.
The entire screenplay is one-dimensional and hamfisted from start to finish to the point of being, frankly, embarrassing.
I looked up the screenwriter and it seems that's kind of what she's known for, so... good job, I guess?
If you're going to skip just one DC Animated Universe Movie, make it this one.

DC animated films have really plundered recently, what happened? I expect more from Sam Liu. The pacing of the film is all over the place, and the plot is predictable from beginning to end.
Well, first of all I can't really claim to be much of a fan of superheroes, much less Wonder Woman. But hey, when given a chance to sit down and watch something that I haven't already seen, I will take that chance. And so was the case as well with this 2019 DC animated movie "Wonder Woman: Bloodlines".
Was it really necessary to showcase the origin of Diana yet another time? We've already seen this in comic books and in the 2017 live action movie. So having to sit through that yet again just felt redundant.
That being said, then I will say that the storyline in "Wonder Woman: Bloodlines" was a bit simplistic, but directors Justin Copeland and Sam Liu more than made up for what the movie lacked in story with sheer action and fighting. And that definitely was a treat for me as a viewer.
As for the characters in the storyline, well thumbs up for those parts. There were some pretty interesting characters and villains throughout the storyline. I liked that aspect of the animated movie quite a bit.
With this being an animated movie, having a good voice acting performance cast is crucial, and I do say that they definitely had put together a good ensemble of actresses and actors for "Wonder Woman: Bloodline". It was definitely a nice treat to have Rosario Dawson do the voice for Wonder Woman herself.
Now, as an animated movie, I do like the particular drawing style and artform that they used in this 2019 animated movie. It felt like a very nice blending of comic book and old school 1980s cartoon. So that definitely appealed to me and helped add to the overall enjoyment of the animated movie.
I am rating "Wonder Woman: Bloodlines" a six out of ten stars. It was a nice surprise for me, and I will say that it is worth taking the time to sit down and watch.

- AnecdotesThis film contains a "Rogue's Gallery" of villains for Wonder Woman including Dr. Poison, Dr. Cyber, Cheetah, Giganta, Veronica Cale, Medusa, and Silver Swan.
- GaffesAfter experiencing a vision from drinking the shrine water, Diana stands up and the camera angle tilts up to follow her. A few frames before this camera move ends, her left bracelet and the blue markings on her costume's hips disappear.
