Avis à la une
Simple story, good acting. Short and emotionally packed. This movie is extra special to me as I'm from Kokan.
If you are from Konkan you will relate to detailing
If you are from Maharashtra you will understand the art work
If you are docu-drama follower you will enjoy the movie
If you are viewer from any other state who doesn't understand the language you will know why Marathi cinema is known as one of the best film industry...
It is not a masala potboiler but musical drama, it won't make you feel cry but it will make you feel sad for the central character and then make you smile at the end..
1:13 mins long this one is not lengthy at all, performances are excellent, realistic set-up and locations.
At the end movie is dedicated to Dashavtar an ancient art form of folk theatre which began in 12th century A.D. in the South region of Maharashtra and Goa.
This movie is tribute to all those artist those who still struggle and depend on the people's patronage these performers, singers, writers and musicians are truly talented but never gets recognised for their true work..
Must watch for theatre lovers..

It all happens in a day ! A boy in a small village chasing his dream, a dream he saw together with his father.
What does a father feel when he realises how difficult it is for him to manage a small sum of money to help his child.
Journey of a father and a son towards the dream together !!
First of all this is not a typical Indian " Masala Movie". Director have cautiously tried to interlink usual aspects of movie with theatre form of "Dashavatar". Protagonist of the movie aptly showcases day to day difficulties faced by these artist while trying to preserve this art form.
It was great to see so many local Dashavatar artists featuring in the movie.
Throughout the movie beauty of monsoon cladded Konkan is captured beautifully .
Like a Picasso, you need to understand certain nuances in the movie by reading between the lines.
I felt that time span of the movie could have been enhanced by 10~15 minutes to create better emotional connect with the central characters.
Overall I feel it is a great movie with a simple story line and beautiful execution!
When I began watching this movie, I expected it would be one of those movies a boy rising from humble background and then achieving something big, happy ending you know. But , more than that, it surprised me with such a unique folk theatre art. To watch that was mesmrising. The movie is just perfect, could not find any flaws in it, almost sounded like a true story. I am not a Marathi speaking person and never had a chance to be resident of any city in Maharashtra, however I must say the content of most of the Marathi movies is way better than Bollywood movies.
