Hello Broadway

Andy Clyde produces a popular leg show on Broadway. His son, Nick Stuart, signs up singer Ann Christy for the show, and gets engaged to her. Unfortunately, her mother, Daphne Pollard comes with the deal, and she starts talking about holding up the old man for twice as much money. When Clyde gets the impression that Miss Christy has fat legs, he has Stuart fire her and get unengaged. This triggers a third act in this Mack Sennett short on trial for breach of promise.

It's a little episodic, but still a funny short, with Vernon Dent playing a pompous German singing teacher, and some lines amusingly delivered by Clyde.
