"Week end pour Elena" is another "les diaboliques" rip-off.How many thrillers have been inspired by Clouzot's masterpiece?Of course there's a swimming-pool and a murder.

I do not know Teresa Gimpera who plays Elena,but the two other actors are French: -Gerard Barray was first famous for his swashbucklers ,as an alter ego of Jean Marais in the two Pardaillan movies .The second one saw him team up with Valerie Lagrange (see below).He emerged again some twenty years later in Amenabar's "abre los ojos" -Valerie Lagrange played in mediocre French flicks while continuing an easy -listening music singer career .Out of the blue,during the eighties,she became a new wave rock singer .

"Week end pour Elena" :at a pinch for nostalgic fans of the two actors.But don't expect much.
