Avis à la une
German sex comedies of the 1970s are normally pigeon-holed in that they almost always belong to one particular subgenre. In this case, we have a combination of two subgenres: it is a holiday sex picture but it also belongs to the category of Bavarian sex flicks, complete with rivalry between Bürgermeister (Lord Mayor) and priest.
Apart from that the picture is fairly unremarkable. The humour is strictly low-brow (as apparently required by both these subgenres), and the plot elements are wafer-thin and lack conviction, e.g. why this expatriate con man looks like the priest is a question that is never even addressed and certainly not answered. To recommend the film it has the gorgeous Gina Janssen to boost, but her involvement is rather one-dimensional too.

Why weren't the Thai actors credited? The nice girl number 7, mr Ban
-Ki, the two stupid gangsters?
Sorry, I forgot to add: the Thai girl in the hotel room, the Thai brothel boss, the two luggage boys at the hotel.
Back in the seventies Germany spawned a new genre, sex comedies mostly taking place in Bavaria. The comedy is as flat as it can be and is just on the edge of slapstick and the sex is just girls showing their bodies as gratuitous as it can be. But nowadays the genre is hard to find and collectors give a lot of money to the original VHS. This one popped up suddenly on DVD but after less than a month it was Out Of Production again.
This time the priest wants to see what the mayor is going to do in Bangkok. You can guess what this is all about. But again, it shows what a success those flicks had back then, this actually being shot in Bangkok. Still, the filming and editing is as always okay but the story is weak and the comedy is as I said earlier stupid. But face it, people went over to cinemas only to see the girls.
Nice to see Bangkok back in the seventies and to see that smoking was allowed on flight! Misunderstandings and gays falling for the wrong guys. You know where this is going...
You will see a lot of actors used in other sex comedies but this here do offer a lot of Asians going nude, not usual for those flicks.
Gore 0/5 Nudity 2/5 Effects 0/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5

Shot back when people were allowed to be proud of their own country ... no credits for Thai actors. But a great sex comedy with an unusual plot, for sex comedies. Well worth the watch if you like Bavarian sex comedies.
