Avis à la une
This was a well made cartoon that an adult can enjoy without condescending. All the characters were well played out and the stories were solid. There was plenty of wit displayed by the characters on both sides. I just had to memorize the theme song, just plain fun.
Man, seeing this brings back some awesome memories. Does anyone know where you can find this on video? No one seems to believe that is was a real show, even though it is probably one of the best shows ever created for children. It's even better than most Japanese anime and being an avid anime fan, that's saying a lot.
Could a cartoon be more interesting... I remember watching this as a kid, and I was thrilled by the bears, and of course a little frightened by the ogres. This is a must see for cartoon fans...!!!
BTW: If anyone know where I can buy the series on DVD or VHS, please let me know. Thanks.

This series was on Norwegian TV in the late eighties, and as a kid it sucked me into a fantasy world. Their struggle to hide from the humans, and the juice they drank enabling them to jump around as a rubber ball, made for great TV. We still have the episodes on tape, and it is a well-used tape for sure.
This show is a great cartoon. Who wouldn't want to be like Calvin and hang out with the Gummi Bears all the time? The voices were great, including Bill Scott and June Foray from "Rocky and Bullwinkle" and Lorenzo Music of "Garfield" and "Rhoda". The stories of this show still hold up against most of the contemporary Disney attempts. Toon Disney needs to play it more often! Watch it, and be sucked into a world of Gummi Bears bouncing here and there and everywhere!

- AnecdotesThis was the first Saturday morning network cartoon series produced by Walt Disney Productions. To finance this series, Disney Television Animation was able to draw upon financial resources supplied by the corporation in anticipation of profiting when the series entered syndication in 1990 during its last season, as opposed to established TV animation competitors, like Hanna-Barbera, who had to depend primarily on network TV license fees to finance their content. This allowed the series to be produced on a comparatively lavish budget for higher quality writing and animation for television. With this series becoming a major success because of these production values, it made Disney Television Animation immediately a major force in the medium.
- Versions alternativesFrench TV prints of the show use their own unique theme song for the show, rather than a translation of the main theme.
