A romantic Chinese New Year comedy about the three Shang brothers. Eldest brother Shang Moon is a philandering businessman who treats his hideous yet hard-working wife like dirt. Middle brother Shang Foon is a disc jockey/playboy who tries to score with as many girls as possible. Youngest brother Shang So is an obviously gay dance instructor. Moon soon gets the tables turned on him as his wife leaves to become a glamorous karaoke hostess, and Foon gets into a bizarre relationship with a fan so obsessed with movies that she constantly acts out characters on dates, until he suddenly becomes temporarily mentally ill. And So is continually at odds with obvious butch lesbian family cousin. Hilarity ensues.

The original All's Well Ends Well.

This is original All's Well Ends Well movie from Hong Kong, brought to you by veteran HK actor Raymond Wong. It is a family comedy about three Shang brothers. Eldest brother Shang Moon (Raymond Wong) is a philandering businessman who mistreats his wife; middle brother Shang Foon (Stephen Chow) is a playboy; and youngest brother Shang So (Leslie Cheung) is a gay dance instructor. Want the hilarity all all three brothers deal with their family and personal issues.

Much of the comedy involves Chow as his typical and classic comedy sends up some laughable moments. While there is a good does of slapstick humor, there is some meaningful drama and romance. While this movie is probably the only one in the series that has a solid plot, the momentum is slow at times and some of the comedy is a little too nonsensical, especially the movie spoofs. But, it's not a bad movie to pass the time with.

    Grade B-

    Side splittingly funny HK classic!

A damn funny movie that I tend to watch quite a bit!

I haven't seen a Chinese New Year Comedy released in a while that has the magic that this does, with the amazing Chow Sing Chi in top form and his female equivalent, Sandra Ng almost stealing the show.

The late, great, Leslie Cheung and Teresa Mo play off each other better than most of the latest comedy duo's have tried to, and the gorgeous Maggie Cheung puts Chow through some mental issues with her obsession of living as the latest pop culture icon (one minute Madonna, the next Pretty Woman).

It's about love, it's about family, it's about laughing!

Get it now and wet yourself

    Hilarious Hong Kong Comedy!!

Director Clifton Ko (Gambling Ghost, Chicken and Duck Talk, The Happy Ghost) brings a fantastic cast together for some insane moments that just cannot be put into words!

    But I'll try...

Written by actor and producer, Raymond Wong, the original All's Well End's Well film is a Chinese New Year comedy that has many, many, laugh out loud moments as well as heart and emotion - which is mainly down to the wonderful Sandra Ng who plays Wong's hideous and unfortunate wife. She is just brilliant and cracks me up in every scene as well as making me feel sorry for her...

The family each try their hardest to bring sister-in-law (Sandra Ng) back home after she leaves her husband (Raymond) after catching him cheating with the crazy Sheila Chan!

Mainly set around the crazy Shang family that consists of three brothers Wong, Leslie Cheung and the hilarious Chow Sing Chi (along with their TV addicted parents). It is the latter's relationship problems with the wonderful (but insane) Maggie Cheung that makes for many hilarious moments as she likes to live her life inspired by the latest movie hit - such as Pretty Woman, Ghost, and Misery, (even Madonna) with Chow trying hard to keep up with her spoofing many Hollywood blockbusters such as The Shining, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Terminator and more.

He is eventually driven insane after a birds egg falls on his head (but the process leading to that is insanely funny), and things only get funnier from there!

The handsome Leslie Cheung plays a gay flower arranger who has issues with a butch lesbian cousin, played by the fantastic Teresa Mo, resulting in a bizarre turnaround that all results in 4 couples getting hitched in the final scene. It's a tad nuts...

Overall: While a little rough-around-the-edges, All's Well End's Well is hilarious and often insane, but I love it!

    Super hilarious

The most hilarious movie I have ever encountered, with a super casting of Leslie and Chow Sing Chi.

A must watch, and a movie that never become out of date.

    Ga Yau Hei Si

A classic Chinese New Year comedy that embodies early 90's Hong Kong when it was at its peak and combines tribute and respect for both Chinese and western culture. It doesn't really require a kickass storyline, as CNY is more about the festive setting and the film does this well with beloved characters of the time. At the end of the day it is a feel good movie and is perfectly to be rewatched even though it is not the best, because it brings us back to better times. Recent CNY film repeatedly tries to become what this film was, but they keep failing because it is more than just budget and cast, it has to ring true to current culture. While the film is full of huge stars from the time, it also has to be said that Maggie Cheung was perhaps the most gorgeous actress ever in Hong Kong cinema.
