In one episode, Rei and Shinji exchange EVAs during an experiment in synchronizing. However, when Shinji speaks to Rei over the video link, her display shows him as broadcasting from "EVA-01", his normal EVA, when he should be shown in "EVA-00", her normal EVA.
When Ritsuko is unzipping her wetsuit in episode 1, she is wearing a two-piece swimsuit underneath. When she meets Misato in the elevator in the next scene, she is wearing a one-piece swimsuit.
Several of the appearances of EVAS, the size of the robots in terms of the proportion of the stage, constantly changing. In some cases show a height of about 83 feet, when Evas are in the HQ this size is reduced to 65 feet, then appear as large as a fourteen-storey building.
It is impossible to tell where the Evas are housed and
launched from. Launch shafts can be seen in several episodes - mostly straight, but with several angled sections - which imply that it must be somewhere between the Earth's surface and the ceiling of the GeoFront. However, in episode 19, it is shown that Eva cages are at the HQ level (at the bottom of the GeoFront). Moreover, it takes only a minor amount of time for the characters to travel from HQ to the Eva cages (as in episodes 1 and 6).
