Class of Beverly Hills was originally considered as the title of the series before it was changed to Beverly Hills, 90210.
Luke Perry is not in the Pilot Episode.
The show often dealt with issues faced by Jewish Americans because that was a subject Aaron Spelling wanted to explore that for various reasons he hadn't been able to cover on his other hit shows. Two of the main characters were Jewish, Andrea Zuckerman and David Silver. Andrea was entirely Jewish and played by a Jewish actress, while David was half-Jewish (dad was, mom was not) and played by a non-Jewish actor. Another regular cast member was Jewish but played a Christian character.
Djimon Hounsou played the bouncer at the night club. He got credited as the doorman by his first name only.
The pilot did not have everything right at the beginning, for instance the Walsh House is different than the rest of the show and Kelly's mother (Jackie Taylor) was played by Mary Crosby ( in an un-credited role). The role of Jackie Taylor would be played by Ann Gellespie throughout the run of the show.
