Boys in the Sand

Along with "Sailor in the Wild" this is one of the true classics of gay porn. I saw it once many years ago and don't remember much about the plot...if there was one. It involves handsome hunky Calvin Culver on Fire Island for the summer and his various sexual escapades. What I remember most is that is was just gorgeous--some of the most beautiful cinematography I've ever seen. The sexual scenes are just incredible--passionate and erotic. The only debit is Culver himself. While he was a very handsome man he was no actor. I remember seeing him in "Score" and his acting attempts were pretty embarrassing. However when it came to sex the man knew how the perform (no pun intended)...and that's all that matters in a film like this. I remember a dream like sequence at night when Culver meets a man in a pool. Sex aside it was beautifully done. It was more like a dream sequence than anything. And, since this was pre-AIDS, no condoms were used. Sadly Culver did die of AIDS in the 1980s. However this is a true classic of gay male sex films. A must see for gay men.
