Maurice Champreux was king of the French silent age Louis Feuillade 's son-in -law; his filmography is not as rich as his ,by a long shot ;when he was forty,he would give up directing and would begin to study pharmacy.
Probably a wise move , for "hardi les gars" is completely obsolete today and can only grab the nostalgics ....
Biscot is a postman in love with a swimming champion,Laure .But this sportive ,who saved him when he was drowning ,only likes men with sportive achievements ("sport is health ", is her motto, and today, one can only agree with her).....
Unfortunately ,the script is desultory , with awful ditties which make the viewer use the fast forward button. A postman who wins the "tour de France" ,the famous annual cycle race whereas a month before,he was not able to ride a bike, it's difficult to swallow ,even in a -moderately- funny comedy.
*Worn by the leading cyclist in the tour de France.
