Though not as heavily plotted and involving as other Mario Salieri crime/porn videos, ARABIKA is stimulating in the sex department. It also answers the burning trivia question: "In what feature did Ron Jeremy star as an Arab?".
Clad in both traditional Arab costume and alternately Western gear, Jeremy has the pleasure of three sex scenes with lovely Euro actresses, delivering more than his quota of money shots. Film's highlight is a silly (on purpose) but arousing sequence in a jail cell where Jeremy and his pal rape two beautiful female prisoners, as the male prisoners look on, all masturbating at the sight. It's only slightly rough sex, not the sort of extreme violence one encounters in comparable NYC bondage porn (Prince, Davian) of the '70s and early '80s.
Ron is not the only Hollywood porn star getting a free trip to Europe for this opus, as Sunny McKay and Lynn LeMay are also impressive in the blonde leading roles as captive women. They are matched by exotic looking Jasmine (aka Emy Rush) and Deborah Wells, with Yves Baillat not very believable as the Arab with a harem, and Christophe Clark merely along for the ride in a supporting role for a change. In the jail scene, no-namer Rita Olivski makes a vivid appearance via 45DD breasts which look quite natural.
Video is enhanced by Salieri's trademark pastel lighting effects and a rather glamorous look despite having been shot on video. It is presented cryptically in flashback form as the the villain prays before a set of candles, and ends with a shocking (off-camera) violent climax that I wasn't expecting.
Almost overshadowing the 77-minute feature is a 24-minute Sarah Young vignette in which she is directing Sean Michaels in a porn video. Female talent is late to arrive, so Sarah services Sean while they wait. When Maria (a sexy European actress I didn't recognize) finally shows up, Jon Dough is on hand as videographer, and it's fun watching Sarah behind the camera giving direction and looking interested in the XXX action (I'm sure she really was, not pretending). When she takes a break, Dough joins the talent for a threesome and delivers a memorable on-her-face money shot.
The currently available DVD package is titled Sarah Young Directors Cut 8 and has ARABIKA dubbed into German while the Sarah Young featurette is presented in its original English language version.
