The film Indraprastham, directed by Haridas, can be classified as an action thriller drama.
The narrative's focal point is Chithra, a journalist in Delhi who harbours romantic feelings for a television artist named Kiran Varma. The two of them have decided to marry, but Kiran is arrested due to a misunderstanding regarding a murder. Chithra embarks on a mission to prove his innocence, which leads to significant challenges and adversity. She is targeted by enemies due to her possession of confidential documents entrusted to her by Kiran. This situation ultimately forces her to depart from Delhi, seeking refuge in Bangalore. There, she encounters Sathish Menon, a computer technician on an accident. However, she is subjected to further attacks in Bangalore, necessitating the intervention of Sathish on multiple occasions to protect her. It is through Sathish's assistance that Chithra ultimately discerns the true culprit behind the murder, a revelation that exposes Paul B. Issac, a prominent Delhi-based politician, as the actual perpetrator. This revelation, however, comes at a significant personal and professional cost to Sathish, resulting in substantial losses for him. Ultimately, he succeeded in unveiling the truth and eliminating his adversaries.
The narrative was of average quality, with numerous plot holes and inconsistencies in the direction. The performances were commendable, though there were issues with Simran's acting, possibly due to her inexperience in that time. The dubbing was also substandard. The film featured a lot of scenes that focused on bodily exploration, which could have been avoided. The musical score, however, was notable. Overall, the film is not suitable for one time watching.
