Avis à la une
You Got Nothing held my interest from the opening credits to the final scene. The screen play was well written and humorous. The direction was excellent. I think this movie is far superior to most of the movies being shown today and I feel it would appeal to many different audiences. It is funny. It is meaningful. The camera work was well done and helped the story line. The actors seemed real and they all seemed to understand the characters they were playing.
I don't understand why some distributor hasn't grabbed it up. It is the type of movie that will be appealing to a wide audience. When I saw it at the film festival in Hoboken, I know that audience walked out of the theater raving about it.

I just saw this film at Phoenix Film Festival. You Got Nothing certainly has something... It was definitely the funniest film that I have seen this year so far. The actors did a superb job at acting. This was a funny movie, that truly brought out true real characters.
The two main actors also both wrote the movie, which was very unique and Joey also directed it. After the film at the festival there was a Q and A and it was funny to see how well the two main actors got along and I think it really showed in their performances on screen. It reminded me some of Jon Faverau's MADE, but with a lot less blood and shall I say a little funnier.
The film looked great and it was so well edited and put together it truly looked like a high budget film, it was shot in High Definition and look superb. The score/soundtrack was great, I loved it! I certainly hope that this film can get released to more screens!

I don't see this movie getting wide distribution, not because there are no big names attached but because it's just not interesting enough, uses too many recycled elements, from characters to cinematography to plot points. The acting is competent, the technical side is fine, but these can't make up for the script, which really does need some doctoring, and a fresh set of eyes, sorry guys. I think the filmmakers have become too close to the work to see its problems. I do respect the time and effort put into this movie, though.
This movie better get a big distrubution deal! Very entertaining for all audiences! Absolutely keep a look out for this actor/writer/director guy. The cast and crew did an a fantastic job. I saw it at Cinequest and I thought it was the best film I saw there! I hope more people see it! I would gush but I don't want to give anything away--go see this film if you have a chance!
Just saw this at the Phoenix Film Festival where it picked up the Best Director and Screenwriter Awards. While not my personal favorite of the entire festival, this was certainly the most likable film I saw at it. If this gets distribution, it could become a classic independent hit for sure, I think. Literally everyone I saw the film with loved it. All ages groups and races and everything. Just wonderfully acted and edited and scripted and the whole she-bang. Never dragged, never fell flat, all the humor worked effectively. Those who have never attended a film festival don't know how much of a relief it is when something like this film happens. Magnum energy all around. Just wish they could iron out the music rights so it could have a shot at distribution and the larger audience it deserves. A pure delight, if you don't mind superficial, far-fetched Gangster films...and many don't.
