The Voyeur 10

John Leslie ranks in my book at the very top of the heap among Adult Cinema actors and directors, but my memories of his popular "Voyeur" series don't hold up well upon reviewing the content. This 10th volume, with subtitle of "Live in Europe Part #3", is fairly generic sex footage.

Leslie's gimmick, not all that different from his latter-day employer John "Buttman" Stagliano, is to point his camera, usually at the posterior of a lovely lady, and then record sex scenes involving her and kindred spirits. He is The Voyeur, and his first-person camera is ultimately a tedious approach, though rewarding in its intimacy at first glance.

Leslie likes to cheat on camera angles, often initiating a scene with the camera literally peeping and hiding to view the action like a Peeping Tom, but once things get hot and heavy switching to close-ups and reverse shots of a conventional nature that don't agree with the "unobserved" premise of folks having sex. This falls under the rubric of artistic license.

Casting is terrific as usual, with an endless succession of Euro beauties going at it with the usual, overworked Continental studs. A lengthy gang bang on a boat with the one and only Erica Bella is the show's standout.
