Sisters of Sin

I have watched other extremely awful Z-movies like this one, with unbelievably terrible acting and direction, embarassing action and special effects, ridiculous plot and script, such as this one. What is weird here is that, despite amateurish lettering, the very first scene is... good! What the hell happened there? It was a surprisingly good short sexy vampire scene, that finished with 2'20'' length. The following scene, when the main character is presented, however, is ridiculous and laughable. In the rest of the film there will be no vampire, but that main character will fight (and often kiss) other evil enemies. He is Johnny Blake, a contract demon-hunter swordsman also known as "the monk", who has the help of a girlfriend sidekick. His nemesis will be a hellish sorcereress. She has cloaked henchmen and two rival sisters, one of them a whipper with karate-fighting thug girls (?!). He will also face them and other mystic villains in search of evil stones, in a crap script. Everything is very badly done in the film (acting, particularly) after the aforementioned first vampire scene. Even for a shallow-plot softcore movie it is disappointing, as there are just some kisses (and only one lesbian kiss, despite the misleading title) and bare breasts. Off course very bad scenes are sometimes funny, but even it does happen very few times in the movie. Except for the first scene, this film does not work even as a pastime low-budget exploitation curiousity.

Troma took a mediocre low-budget horror film, slapped the words "Blood" and "Lesbian" on the title, and hoped for the best. Of course the only possible result is disappointment for any viewer who discovers that there is hardly any blood or lesbianism to be found! But even if you take the original title, it remains an unpleasant surprise that the lead is a MALE version of Buffy. This flick tries its hands at horror, action and soft-core erotica, but leaves a lot to be desired in all three fields. There are some things I liked - Heather McIntyre as a bitchy martial arts student, the odd line here and there ("I'll be damned" - "I'm afraid so"), the downbeat ending - but on the whole this movie is a waste of time. *1/2 out of 4.

If I would have noticed before I watched it that Troma had anything to do with it I wouldn't have watched it. It is to bad troma was able to attach their name to many movies. This is watchable but shouldn't be your first choice of things to see.

This movie sucks...I love Troma...I own close to 120 Troma titles and I love em all...EXCEPT THIS ONE...THIS ONE SUCKS!..I am a huge fan of cheap pointless stupid amaturish bad movies but this one is horrible..it looks like it was made by Full Moon (a company I never liked) instead of Troma...even the bouncing boobies couldn't save this boring stupid movie

Plot involves some lesbians...if they even are that they seem to like the penis alot..and a monk..and some other stupid garbage involving demons and blood sucking and rhinestones and incredibly horrible computer generated effects...Lloyd Kaufman doesnt use computer effects in any of his movies and they all look fantastic ..these effects look like bottom barrel college student experimentations...I want to wash my eyes out..avoid Troma junkies..avoid

1/10 and only a 1 for at least the bare breast....This is the only Troma movie currently in my collection I'd demand my money back for (except maybe "Girl School Screamers")

Not typical Troma-fare, true, but the story is better. This is more of a recreation of the old Paul Naschy (Jacinto Molina) films with a hero fighting sexy villianesses. It's just too bad the director has taken cool content and made it look so boring. Most of the women are camping it up and the effects are not good. I will warn anyone looking for lots of Lesbians or blood that they won't find it. The title is just a way for Llyod K to cash in on your fetishes. Sorry. There are also no pickled penises like Tromeo & Julliet and no one from the stock Troma company of stars. This is something they picked up after it was finished. You can decide if that's good or bad. It's a bit hoakie and not Troma-gross but if you don't mind low budget horror, from back when they shot pre-hi def (grainy image here suggests 16mm), it's worth a rental.
