Avis à la une
This movie really has no beginning or end. And it's really VERY unbelievable. Mary-K and Ashley are supposed to be interns working in a mailing room for an Italian fashion company. But, for some reason, they're put up in a 5-star hotel (conveniently located across the street from the Coliseum), and all of the other interns they work with are just as abnormally model-looking as they are. One thing that I found obvious in this movie is the way that one of the twins DOESN'T end up with the guy. I guess they tried to twist their usual plot a bit. Nice try.
I have seen most of the Olsen films, and in my opinion, the movies they have made when they were younger were better than their later movies. Generally because they were younger then, so the plots looked cuter to the audience. But now, the movies are rather immature and very unrealistic, viewers can't identify the plots with real life.
My comment on When In Rome goes the same for all of their later movies. The characters they portray are almost always 'perfect'-beautiful, smart, trendy, well-off- as if all of us in real life are perfect. Why can't they play more stereotypical roles who fight in life to overcome their flaws? Also, they always meet boys in every place they go who automatically likes them. And what's queer is that, the boys always come in pairs, be they brothers, friends, etc. Also, the conflicts in the plots are solved rather easily and most of the conflicts are lame.
Now that they are older, they might want to make some differences in their movie making, such as starring in separate movies, more intelligent plots, things like that. Honestly, if they continue with their own way of making movies, they're gonna get nowhere. Note: These are my own opinions, and this is a free country.

Ok...I'm going to TRY to be nice here. As a kid, I was a huge Mary-Kate and Ashley fan, and I still am....but lately, I tune into their movies to see their clothes as opposed to the actually movie. Not that I can help it, I mean, the clothes are cute, while the movie plots stay exactly the same. I do think Mary-Kate and Ashley have the acting talent and can develop into much better actresses, but I think they're just treading in safe waters with simple, surface-scratching movie plots where everying is all in the name of "cute" and "fun". I guess you can't really blame them considering everyone still regards them as kid actresses, but for us fans out there, I think it's about time they gave something more to their audience. Meaning...no more of this traveling off to foreign lands, meeting cute boys, getting kissed deal. It's cute, but only the first few times around. Like I said, I'm trying to be nice here.
Oh, and personally, I think the only reason Ashley didn't kiss her guy friend in the movie is because she has a boyfriend in real life and merely chose not to. Then again, it's my own personal opinion.

this movie is not that great because the plots in all the movies are pretty much the same. the movies they did when they were younger were much better, but as they got older they started to write their own scripts so then it's not as great. although i like them and mostly watch the movies because i like the clothes they wear, i think they're bad actors. they should be the bad guys for once or change the plot. i heard they're making another movie and that's going to be their last..so they should make it different and make a name for themselves.
This movie really sucks! I mean it is a piece of junk! and before you olsen fans (the olsen twins have FANS?) gang up on me with comments (in a valley girl accent) that your not prep and wouldnt't understand or why are you watching it. Well listen to this There was no reason for me to watch this. Liket he other movies they have the same plot. So seeing a few in the past I know what this movie is going to be about. So I know it is a piece of smelly, skanky sh*t like the other ones. The girls can act and are little b*tches who make the normal teenage girl feel bad that she doesn't get to wear Armani clothes or get to go to Rome or London and meet a nice looking guy and go on a great adventure and then get kissed? I mean Christ! WHy to people buy this stupid sh*t I think I expressed my opinion well.

- AnecdotesMost of the cast was Italian, and many of the younger actors used this film as a chance to practice their English and expand into American work.
- GaffesWhen Charli is reminiscing about Paolo while the sisters are staying at Mr. Hammonds villa, there are black and white scenes while she and Paolo are at the Coliseum which doesn't happen until after the girls go back to work.
