Sixteen Sweeties

"Sixteen Sweeties" is among the worst short films of the year...if not the decade. There is nothing positive I can say about it...nothing. And, considering how awful it was, I am not surprised that the folks in it never went on to become movie stars.

The film is a combination of a musical review and comedy...much like a Vaudeville show. Throughout this ordeal, a host is continually interrupted by two annoying guys who tell jokes that are not only unfunny but in horribly bad taste. Dead baby jokes are not funny....nor were any of the other 'jokes' they told. As for the singing and dancing, it looked completely amateurish. The singing quality wasn't good (possibly due, in part, to early talking picture recording difficulties) and the dancing looked almost completely unchoreographed. The ladies are never in step with each other and the sum effect looks more like a bunch of drunks trying to pass a field sobriety test instead of dance together! Overall, a horrid little picture which was unfunny, in horrible taste and displayed acts which were essentially talentless. Need I say more?!
