One of the best times I've ever had watching a TV special! Jane Wagner, you are a genius of a writer! The way you see the world, your brain is beautiful! And so is your taste in women - because your wife, Lily Tomlin, was so very pretty in this!
Some random thoughts:
I think they were inspired by meet John Doe and Mr Smith goes to Washington with this special. It was very clear in the way Lily was dressing. Also, Lily has a beautiful , such sweet voice!
Also, I just happened to remember this on the same day that I just happened to go early voting, which was 2/15/2024! I didn't put two and two together until after I voted. It was not planned that I would be watching this on voting day, but how appropriate! So, because of that, this special will always have a special place in my heart! Synchronicity, baby!
Bonus points for the fact that the mock-up character of Agnes angst and the manic depressives is still one of the best bands I've ever seen - even though it's just a spoof. That song, which was supposed to be a spoof, is as good as anything that hardcore punk rock has ever put out! As I said, the writer, Jane Wagner, she's a genius!
