The extremely obscure (20 years later) Adult Cinema couple N'J De Bahia and Sergio Del Piano star in this rather simple yet entertaining porn comedy from Paul Thomas's team at Vivid, without PT on board. It's worth sampling along with their other work made over a brief period for the label.
Overlapping cast and crew implies that this was shot back-to-back with another Vivid release titled "Recipe for Sex".
Video's title should be "The Neighbors", given that the French couple move in next door to a pair of married, salt of the earth types, but of course it is only the woman (lovely, deep-deep bronze tanned N'J) who matters from a marketing point of view. Vivid had a long list of popular contract girls but no "contract boys" if memory serves (though other labels like Adam & Eve or Wicked signed males like Dale DaBone, Brad Armstrong and Jonathan Morgan on the dotted line).
Morgan in fact co-stars and provides over-the-top (in his obvious Jerry Lewis mode) comic relief by pulling faces and injecting slapstick frequently. He's married to lovely Kelly Cage (who sports impressively big natural breasts, their eroticism dampened by piercing) but soon becomes obsessed voyeuristically with just moved-in neighbor N'J. An early sex scene between Kelly & Morgan is shot soft-core with the joke being his instant (unseen) premature ejaculation, which led me to believe this might be a NonSex role for the versatile actor, a conjecture that proved to be untrue.
Other neighbor pair is Peter North and one of porn's utility infielders, Shelbee Myne, her casting an indication that this was clearly not an A-level project for Vivid. It was obviously one of perhaps a half dozen tries at establishing the striking N'J as a superstar, an effort that clearly failed.
Besides Jonathan's goofy antics, most of which seem to be improvised, humor comes from the situation, as the French people cannot speak English and only barely understand what their American neighbors are saying. A cultural clash derives from the Frogs' freewheeling approach to sex, an attitude that North gleefully shares but which is foreign to uptight Morgan and Kelly.
Ultimately there's plenty of sex and swapping, entertaining in its own right and oddly mixing bareback and condom sex almost randomly. At one point North's famous cock is being sucked by N'J with a condom on it, rather glaring in violating the sexy rules of the game at the time, and merely evidence that this was such a quickie production that cameraman turned director Ralph Parfait didn't want to waste time on an extra set-up involving putting on the condom between blow job and intercourse in the same scene.
IMDb lists Guillermo Brown, a PT camera assistant who gets (or is blamed for) screenwriting credit here but I didn't spot him: the guy who helps the new couple move in looked like still photographer Ron Vogel to me.
