Just caught an episode of this last week. I was led to believe it was a musical series were the main character Addie, does a lot of singing. Then I realized that a TV series where people would sing all the time can get old really quick. That's what happened to TNBC's All About Us.
Anyway, Addie is a very confident singer. Whether or not she's bad is based on whether or not you think all girls who reached puberty are supposed to be good singers.
But there's really not a lot of singing at all. You just get like a minute of it per episode. The only original thing about Unfabulous is that each episode starts out with a problem and the rest of the episode is a flashback leading up to that problem and then there's a solution in the end.
I dunno if this is worth watching all the time. Eventually, Unfabulous will be crammed into that pile of many preteen shows that follow that basic teen girl formula: a girl with one best girl friend and one best guy friend (note that one of these friends has to be other than white), a sibling of the opposite sex, stereotypical classmates, and multiracial teachers that are young and hip and other elements we know by heart from watching too much TeenNick and ZoogDisney.
Feel free to give this a few episodes, but if you don't like the Lizzie McGuire formula, be warned of what this show is capable of wearing out into.

I saw the very first episode of Unfabulous, and I got hooked!!! It is way better than Lizzie McGuire ever hoped or dreamed to be! On a scale of one to ten, I would give it a nine. It's about a seventh grade girl who goes through life trying to fit in but learns life lessons along the way. She soon realizes that if she ignores the popular kids in school she will be much more happy and she will maybe someday become popular. She sings songs and hopes that someday she will become rich and famous for her clever, well-thought out songs. Her mom is a realistate saleswoman, her dad is a little obsessive, and her brother is perfect. I give this show five stars.
Emma Roberts is actually a very good singer. She just sounds bad for the show.
Anyway, I like this show. It portrays a realistic view of middle school, but it is stretched just enough for Nickelodeon viewers to get some laughs out of it. The characters aren't "deep" of anything, but that's why it's good. Addie - the main character, has to go through the trials and tribulations of middle school. I am in middle school, and I really do thing this show portrays it in a realistic and funny way. Plus the clothes that Addie wears are very cute. I also like how the plot isn't confusing at all, and you get all the characters - the popular older brother you have to look up to, the cooler than you best friend, the cute popular guy, the, well, guyish guy best friend, and, of course the embarrassing parents. This show is much better than some other shows out there like Drake and Josh. The jokes in the show are cute, the episodes are easy to follow, and Addie is a talented, yet so unfabulous 13 year old girl.

I think this is a great show, and it's a million times better than Zoey 101. It's about an average 13 year old and gives you tips on how to cope with everyday life. My favourite character is Gina because I think her clothes are so cool! I also think Ben is so hot. Addie's cool as well though because she writes her own songs and plays her own music. I think her mum's hilarious. I've watched every episode on Nickelodeon, and every one of them has been great. I really hope there will be another series. All the people on this website who say this show is stupid and they think Zoey is better, must have something seriously wrong with them. At least the acting in Unfabulous is great, unlike Zoey 101. Emma Roberts is the best! Anyone who doesn't agree, feel free to add me on msn: rentonno1@hotmail.co.uk
Okay, here's a great idea...let's take another famous person's sibling that is untalented as can be (aka: Jamie ) and make a show for them too. If she wasn't related to "Auntie Julia" then she probably wouldn't even have got an audition! The sad thing is that Producers actually think that people will continue to watch this garbage just because they put some one who is related to a known star in it. Bad news! If it's bad...then it doesn't matter! I would rather watch something with a group of "un-knowns" that at least know how to act! Oh yea and by the way:(news flash) Having an attitude doesn't mean someone CAN ACT!!! I know, let's make a show with all of Demi Moore's girl in it!
