Dinosaurs were just about my favorite things from my childhood, ever since first seeing the Primeval World segment at the Disneyland Railroad attraction. From collecting books to figurines, dinosaurs were just the most entertaining and fascinating creatures, and I was obviously excited when I saw this documentary on TV - one of my first times seeing live-looking dinosaurs in action.
Though this documentary shows clips from a variety of classic dinosaur films, there were also some original dinosaur footage filmed especially for this movie - most notably the battle between the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Monoclonius, the Trachodon escaping the T-Rex and the pair of Deinonychus chasing down a Struthiomimus. These scenes were definitely the highlight of the documentary and it was a treat for me seeing these live-looking dinosaurs in battle.
A very good documentary with some good insight in the narration and, though dated by 2010s standard, good visual effects for its time.
