Interference

Interference is a total surprise! A mildly dark look at an unexpected future, the film is shot entirely within the confines of a radio station booth, bringing the drama and humor of the plot into a moody, subtle interplay between the small cast. The mixed, American, Australian, British cast obviously enjoyed what they were doing and a dynamic performance by the American lead--Jennifer Belander--and strong support from the rest of the small cast give the film a dynamic tension combined with a cheeky sense of life's irony. The director, Ms Kimberly Edwards, has brought an interesting script of her own creation into life, breathing an intensity into the production, and successfully crafting a tightly shot, potentially confined film into a much bigger final concept. A small British film made at minimal expense--its production values soar beyond your typical first venture. Over all, Interference represents a new standard in young small budget British film making--and has the potential for commercial success after its official debut at Cannes.
