    Not Ihe Worst Movie Ever Made But It's Not Greatest It's Your Standard B-Grade Horror Flick

    Okay so this is according to most people on here The worst movie ever made Well i have watched it Now i am not sure if it's because of all the carrying on About it being the worst movie ever mad But i didn't see it as the worst movie ever made So to the people who say it is you must not watch a lot of B-Movies Dr Chopper is a B-Movie It does not claim to be the best movie of all time It's a cheaply made B-Movie about a bunch of friends You know The sluts and Douchebag formula that all B-Grade Where you have slutty chicks and a bunch of douchebag males Anyway they all go to a run down cabin for the weekend To drink party and have sex yes the same formula as all B-Grade Flicks Little Do they Dr Chopper The Low Budget killer and his three ladies Are hiding out Anyway i'll cut a long Story Short there's Blood and nudity and Bad acting As is the Norm with all these B-Grade flicks But with that said it is not the worst movie ever made If you watch it and say that you must not watch a lot of movies If you like a horror movie with great story and thrills Well it might not be the movie for you But if you like a B-Grade horror flick with nudity Blood And so so acting that doesn't have the greatest story line Then Check it out it is not the worst movie ever made And forget the drama QUEENS who say it is

    For time wasters only.

    There is an expression (I think an Einstein quote) that says, if you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it enough. I understand bad films so i will make it snappy. The acting frankly is not that bad (Even if is based on a horrible script). The "Teens" are obviously actors well into their mid to late twenties, and how 3 well built football players can't hold their own against an old man on a motorcycle and a typically built woman with knife is beyond me. I guess they build them soft in that part of town. Even Costas Mandylor & Miranda Kwok, who are both respected & accomplished actors, cant save this one.

    This movie was so bad that I'm actually sad that Costas Mandylor was in it.

    I can't even begin to say how horrible this movie is. It has so many plot holes and empty lead ups. The score itself was horrible. I'm not sure why one of the characters was even there, I guess we were supposed to think as a motivation but it really didn't come off believable. In fact this whole film was simply just not believable.

    I watched this movie because I love Costas Mandylor as an actor. He has an amazing versatility. For proof of this, I highly recommend the films "Triumph of the Spirit" and "Nobody". I have to actually say that I wish Costas had not done this film. I know Costas has done some movies that are not the best in his time, including Disaster Zone: Volcano In New York which was pretty unbelievable and had the jumpiest camera shots I have ever had to bare in a movie but even that was better than Dr. Chopper. Mainly because at least it had a camp factor that made it highly amusing and entertaining. I can't even say that for Dr. Chopper. What this movie does contain is horrible writing, horrible special effects/makeup, and completely empty characters lacking any substance. Seriously, I can't even think of one character that I liked in the film - including (as much as it hurts to say it) Costas Mandylor's character. It also had a completely anti-climactic ending, and a lot of predictability.

    The only redeeming qualities about this film and the reasons why I gave it 3 stars: the acting was halfway decent - not the best in the world but I have certainly seen worse, Costas Mandylor was in it (although he should not have been because he can do better), at least the camera shots were stable and I actually think this could have been an entertaining horror movie if the writers had developed the plot/character more. It was an interesting, albeit unoriginal, idea and I would like to see someone do a remake of it and do it some actual justice. That being said, I really don't see myself EVER sitting through this god awful movie again. It was actually really painful to watch. The only remote reason I can think of suggesting someone to watch this film is if they are a hardcore fan of any of the actors in it, just to ease the curiosity and to realize that they should not have been in this film. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend avoiding it.

    Silly gimmick for a slasher film.

    Celebrated plastic surgeon Dr. Max Fielding goes on the run after police link him to a series of killings. Twenty years later a group of young friends head to the countryside town of Lake Tatonka in order to unwind. But the town is cursed by the presence of Fielding, now known as "Dr. Chopper" due to his unique method of transportation (a chopper motorcycle) & army of demented nurses. At the same time, the local park ranger, a burnt-out shell of a man named Terrel, must find the inner strength to do his job properly.

    Zombie fans will have heard of & curse the name of Lewis Schoenbrun. Schoenbrun was an editor dragged into the quagmire that was called Children of the Living Dead after writer-producer Karen Lee Wolf fired the film's director & crew & enlisted Schoenbrun to re-edit the film. The result was an unholy mess. This should have been enough to have the editor disappear from the genre without trace, but things seldom turn out that way. In 2005, Schoenbrun managed to get the chance to direct his own film. The result was Dr. Chopper.

    Dr. Chopper is pretty much a pedestrian slasher flick that has almost nothing to redeem it enough to be watchable. But Schoenbrun surprises by having some skill in editing the film – this one's a lot more coherent than COTLD was. Having said that, the film is nowhere near good enough to warrant a viewing unless you want to see Australian actor & future SAW villain Costas Mandylor do his best glass-munching (the act of doing extreme emotions in an OTT way) & Ed Brigadier walking around in biker garb.

    Really Bad

    Dr. Chopper (2005)

    * (out of 4)

    Incredibly stupid, direct to DVD horror film about a group of teenagers who go to a creepy cabin in the woods where various teenagers have been chopped up over the past twenty years. The title character, a psychotic doctor riding a motorcycle, is chopping up teens hoping to find eternal life. After a pretty good opening, which contains some nice gore, this film quickly falls apart due to the horrible acting and a stupid plot twist, which can be spotted within five minutes. After the opening sequence there's very little gore and nudity, which is certainly not a good thing. The performances are so incredibly bad that I often found myself cheering for the bad guy just so I wouldn't have to suffer through any of the acting. Another strange note is that the title killer is somewhat interesting but they end up turning him into a supporting role hiding behind his two female assistants.
