named Kate Frankola--that is actually my name! People I know told me about Unhitched for that reason before I even heard of the show. I know Kate is a common name, but I am wondering who came up with Frankola and why. Probably no one here knows, oh well, still cool. Anyone know how I can contact anyone in charge of naming characters on the show?
I wish I didn't have to write something worth ten lines. I'll leave ya'll with a poem, In Memoriam Mae Noblitt by AR Ammons:
This is just a place: we go around, distanced, yearly in a star's
atmosphere, turning daily into and out of direct light and
slanting through the quadrant seasons: deep space begins at our
heels, nearly rousing us loose: we look up or out so high, sight's
silk almost draws us away: this is just a place: currents worry themselves
coiled and free in airs and oceans: water picks up mineral shadow and
plasm into billions of designs, frames: trees, grains, bacteria: but
is love a reality we made here ourselves-- and grief--did we design
that--or do these, like currents, whine in and out among us merely
as we arrive and go: this is just a place: the reality we agree with,
that agrees with us, outbounding this, arrives to touch, joining with
us from far away: our home which defines us is elsewhere but not
so far away we have forgotten it: this is just a place.

I also watched the pilot as well as the second episode and completely disagree. How can you say this show isn't funny? It's about time TV shows were funny again. There are only so many Back to You's and Until Death's we can take. If you don't find this show funny, you might want to check your sense of humor meter. It's probably you.
I actually thought the second episode was slightly funnier than the first. The cast seems to be having a great time and it really shows. Reminds a lot of Seinfeld, but has it's own identity. I love how it goes for the humor, but keeps the characters grounded. Rashida Jones is the next big star and Craig Bierko is a solid leading man. The other two actors seem like a couple of sleepers. I bet this show has a long, long run. At least I hope it does.

I just watched the first episode of this show on Itunes and I have to say that although there is a bit more storyline than jokes, this show is HILARIOUS. The characters are far more mature than what is seen in typical Farelly brothers comedy, which actually makes the show far more appealing. I think that this first show played it safe as far as "edginess", and given the context of what this show's subject matter portrays, you can expect a lot more from this show in the coming weeks. I can't say this show will have a serious future like Friends or Seinfeld, but I can definitely see this show going for a while. I mean seriously, who hasn't secretly snickered at something COMPLETELY childish *ahem dumb and dumber*? It's a great comedy for the child in adults and I think it will definitely do well. Definitely can't wait to see more!
Unhitched is one of the worst new shows I've seen in a long time. It is less funny than staring at your TV for half an hour when it is turned off. All of the jokes are groan-inducing they are so bad and none of the characters are funny or likable or interesting in any way whatsoever. The writing is so bad it passes through the realm of "so bad it's funny" to become one of the few shows that can be classified as "so completely awful it's not even funny to laugh at".
I can't think of a single reason why a show this completely awful in every possible respect could make it to broadcast. I am used to seeing a lot of garbage on TV but when something like this comes on my TV, that is so pathetically awful it's just begging to be canceled and put out of its misery, I just shake my head and say "why?" and wonder who it is that's going to inevitably be fired for this obvious mistake.
Cancel the show, burn the tapes, and let's all never speak of it again.

I thought it was great! it is awesome. Rasia Jones plays exactly like Elaine. even though nothing could beat Seinfeld. it was close. there was a small nerdy guy - George and 2 taller overconfident guys - jerry and Kramer.
I thought that it was not disappointing at all! how dare you say that!
Thought it was excellent
definitely recommend it! Watch it Sunday nights! Definitely watch it. i may have a different opinion than other people. but i have watched many shows. and i think it is great. Unhitched is a good way to get a laugh!!!!!!!!!!
